Work the Stabilizers and Small Movements for Strength and Recovery

May 24, 2016

While i don't necessarily advocate keeping straight all the time (the body is meant to have mobility across multiple planes), where there is pain, strain or tweaks of any kind, getting into the stabilizers works wonders.

Handstand might apply, but not always. It might be forward fold, simple tadasana. The simple gets you back to the bold, powerful, even explosive movements (my alter ego which many only see in class :) That being said, the tiniest exercises can bring the greatest results. Give them a try.
